Fried Dace Fish Bee Hoon

We like fried trotter leg bee hoon and have had them numerous times.  Unfortunately, these days, the can hardly has any meat in it and it consists of just fats and skin plus the insane pricing for this can of food, it was a turned-off and I am staying clear even though we like it.

Spotted my friend using Dace fish with salted black bean to fry her bee hoon and she said it is even better than the Fried Trotter bee hoon so I decided to try it.

Findings: This dish tasted really delicious.  Though does not have the same fragrance as the Fried Trotter Bee Hoon, I think this is a good substitute.

Thanks AS for sharing.

What you need:

1 can of Fried Dace Fish with salted black bean
300g bee hoon, soak with hot water
Green vegetable of your choice (I added cabbage and capsicum as it was ready in my fridge)
1/2 onion, sliced
2 tbsp minced garlic

Method:

Remove the dace fish and cut into small bites.

Heat the wok with the oil from the can.

Add the onions and stir fry until soft.

Add the minced garlic and saute until fragrant.

Add the bee hoon and vegetable and fry until soft.

Mix in the dace fish with black beans.

Season with salt and pepper.

Serve.

Enjoy!
