Nandos Peri Peri Chicken Drumlets (Airfryer)

I have tasted Nandos Peri Peri Chicken long time ago but back then, I wasn't impressed.  Perhaps I was turned off by the service staff and I decided to stay off this establishment until recently when I went JB with my girlfriends, H and M.  Again we found an item that it is far off standard but the manager was helpful.

This kind of spur my interest in making some Nandos Peri Peri Chicken at home.

What you need:

600g chicken (I used drumlets)
5 pcs chilli padi
1½ tsp black pepper
6 pcs garlic
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp paprika
2 tbsp honey
2 tsp salt (to taste)
drizzle of lemon juice before serving

Blend all ingredients together.

Season to taste.

Add in chicken and mix well.

Marinate overnight and roast in oven for 200°C for 8 mins, give it a turn and continue to roast another 10 mins or until golden.

For air fryer, bake at 160°C for 7 mins and turn the drumlet and another 5 mins.

Drizzle lemon juice before serving.
Serve with ice cold beer.

  1. Edith, quite honestly I don't see anything special about Nando's chicken. Maybe it does not suit my taste. Your home made version of peri-peri would be loads better.

  2. I have not been to Nandos for a very very long time, can't remember what theirs taste like :) What i know now is yours look delicious! I like the addition of chili padi!

  3. Aw now this looks like a fairly straight forward recipe... And with air fryer! Best... Love this... Thanks for sharing Edith

  4. Oh Edith, these sure sound finger lickin' good. I'm so glad you tried making them at home successfully! Thank you so much for sharing...

Thanks for dropping by. Give me a tinkle if you have some fun on this recipe too. Will be nice to leave a name if you are in the Anonymous category, otherwise it will be group under spam. Have fun.
