Nandos Peri Peri Chicken Drumlets (Airfryer)

I have tasted Nandos Peri Peri Chicken long time ago but back then, I wasn't impressed.  Perhaps I was turned off by the service staff and I decided to stay off this establishment until recently when I went JB with my girlfriends, H and M.  Again we found an item that it is far off standard but the manager was helpful.

This kind of spur my interest in making some Nandos Peri Peri Chicken at home.

What you need:

600g chicken (I used drumlets)
5 pcs chilli padi
1½ tsp black pepper
6 pcs garlic
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp paprika
2 tbsp honey
2 tsp salt (to taste)
drizzle of lemon juice before serving

Method

Blend all ingredients together.

Season to taste.

Add in chicken and mix well.

Marinate overnight and roast in oven for 200°C for 8 mins, give it a turn and continue to roast another 10 mins or until golden.

For air fryer, bake at 160°C for 7 mins and turn the drumlet and another 5 mins.

Drizzle lemon juice before serving.

Serve with ice cold beer.

Cheers!

  1. Edith, quite honestly I don't see anything special about Nando's chicken. Maybe it does not suit my taste. Your home made version of peri-peri would be loads better.
