A friend left behind 2 packets of frozen Ravioli so I got her blessing instead.
Let's have Ravioli with tomato sauce.
Learning: The frozen ravioli took longer than expected to soften. So please adjust timing.
Son did not like the tomato base sauce so for the next pack, I will do cream based. Hub and I finds it yummy though.
What you need:
500g frozen ravioli
2 cans of tomatoes
1 onion, diced
2 tbsp minced garlic
Basil leaves, chopped finely
½ tsp oregano
½ cup chicken broth
½ cup whipping cream
Season with salt and pepper
Olive oil
Lots of spinach
Method:
Blitz the can tomatoes.
In a pot, add olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant.
Add in the tomatoes, chicken broth and season with basil, oregano, salt and pepper.
Add in ravioli and bring to a boil and let it simmer for 15 mins.
Add whipping cream and spinach. Mix well until spinach is cooked.
Garnish with parmesan cheese.
