Cheesy Potato

My family members are potato lovers. It is harder to ask them to eat more rice than potatoes.

So for our grilled chicken dinner, I made this Cheesy Potato as our side.

I was trying to brown the cheese but i didn't have much luck getting that crispy texture.

Overall, this taste good.

What you need:

Potatoes
salt
pepper
cheddar cheese
Olive oil

Method:

Scrub clean the potatoes, and boil them until it is soft.

While still hot, use a knife, Flatten the potatoes a little.  Do not break them into halves.

Heat a non stick pan with olive oil, add in the potatoes, spread evenly around the pan.

Sprinkle salt and pepper over the potatoes, cook until it is golden.

Flip over and sprinkle salt and pepper over the other side of the potatoes.

When potatoes turned golden, scatter cheddar cheese over it, cook until the cheese melted, flip over and repeat.

Try to pan fry until cheese is golden brown.

Serve hot.

  2. Vic, it was. Just that I need to be patient to cook the cheese until golden.
