罗汗斋 (Vegetarian)

For 2014 (lunar calendar), we didn't start off well.  My brother in law suffered a heart attack on 26 Jan and has since went through a stent procedure and now has mild brain damage.

We don't know how extensive the damage are right now but thank goodness, he is out of ICU two days ago.  He can still remembers his family members.  Speech has been improving but will need therapy.

He can't do addition or subtraction but roughly understood that this is the method to use when calculating his age.  He still can't tell time but he is able to read.  Show signs of retaining long term memories but lost his short term memories.  Was told that he will be discharge soon.

I want to thank you all your prayers and sending me comforting smses during those hard moments.

As for the Year of the Horse, we didn't have a reunion dinner with the in laws and I have prepared 罗汗斋.  I love having this dish especially during CNY.

As part of a healthier main meal after heavy indulge in those high calorie snacking, this is definitely one of my favourite dish.

I am still suffering from a bad shoulder and thus I only resort to simple cooking and have been abstain from baking.

Let's hope I will recover soon.

In the meantime, have a Happy Horse Year!  Wishing you all the best of health.

Hugs

Thanks Lance for your concern. He is now back home. Lost some memory but hopefully with therapy he can soon go back to work.
