Mushroom and bacon pasta

This dish was supposed to be a creamy base dish but have to omit it as my son's girlfriend is lactose intolerance.

Luckily this Mushroom and Bacon pasta still turned out not too bad.  The bacon really brings out the flavour.


What you need:

400g mushroom
400g pasta
500g bacon
3 tbsp minced garlic
Sweet basil for garnish
Salt and pepper to taste

Method:

Boil pasta until al dente.

Add bacon into a heated pan.  Fry until bacon is crispy.  Remove.

With the bacon oil, add in mushroom and fry until soft.

Add in cooked pasta and mushroom.

Season with salt and pepper.

Garnish with chopped basil.
